Qynetic OEE

How does Qynetic improve OEE?

Qynetic OEE calculates availability, performance and quality and aims to explain where the losses come from — faults, waiting, setup, tool changes, cycle-time losses, micro-stops, reduced speed, scrap, rework, inspection delay and process instability. It does not raise OEE by itself; it makes the largest, most addressable losses visible.

Status: Planned

The problem it addresses

An OEE percentage shows that time or output is lost, not what or why. Improvement work then starts with a manual investigation across several systems.

How it works

  1. 1Machine states and events are normalised from any source into one model.
  2. 2Losses are categorised and attributed to causes using the same factory context as the other modules.
  3. 3Quality losses connect back to process drift and tooling; availability losses connect to setup, changeover and maintenance.

Capabilities

  • A × P × Q

Standard availability, performance and quality calculation per machine, area and site.

  • Loss categories

Faults, waiting, setup, tool changes, cycle-time loss, micro-stops, reduced speed, scrap, rework, inspection delay, process instability.

  • Loss explanation

Links each significant loss to its probable cause rather than leaving it as a bar in a chart.

  • Time zones and shifts

Calculated in each site's own time zone and calendar.

Designed to connect to: MTConnect · OPC UA · MQTT · PLCs · MES. Integrations

Common questions

How is OEE calculated?

OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality. Availability is run time over planned production time; performance is ideal cycle time × total count over run time; quality is good count over total count.
