Qynetic Factory Director
What is Qynetic Factory Director?
Factory Director is Qynetic's orchestration layer. It coordinates specialised agents for quality, process control, tooling, instructions, OEE, planning and maintenance, reasons across the whole factory, and presents prioritised, evidence-backed recommendations. It recommends; it never commands machinery.
The problem it addresses
Important problems are spread across separate systems and dashboards. People have to search to find what matters, and causes that cross domains — tool wear that shows up as dimensional drift, a changeover that could absorb a tool change — are easy to miss.
How it works
- 1Specialised agents each analyse their own domain against one shared, normalised manufacturing context.
- 2Every recommendation carries evidence (with references to the underlying data), a confidence value and the agent that produced it.
- 3Factory Director de-duplicates and prioritises across agents by severity and confidence, so the most important item is first.
- 4Agents are recommend-only. Any physical adjustment passes through validated algorithms, simulation, a policy guardian and deterministic control.
Capabilities
Cross-domain reasoning
Connects signals from quality, tooling, production and maintenance instead of showing them in isolation.
Prioritised recommendations
Surfaces the issue that matters most first, with severity, confidence and evidence.
Explainable by design
Every recommendation links to the measurements, events and history it is based on.
Human in the loop
Approval workflows for anything outside authorised limits; everything is attributable and audited.
Designed to connect to: Quality · APC · Tool Manager · CIM · OEE · Planner · Maintenance. Integrations
Common questions
Does Factory Director control machines?
No. Factory Director and its agents only produce structured recommendations. Physical changes are only possible through a deterministic, limit-checked pipeline and require human approval outside authorised limits.
Is Factory Director a chatbot?
No. It produces structured, evidence-backed recommendations with a confidence value. Natural language is a presentation layer; it is never a command channel.
What does Factory Director reason about?
Questions that span domains: why yield is falling, which process is becoming unstable, whether dimensional drift relates to tool wear, when a tool should be replaced, and where OEE is being lost.
