Direct answers about what Qynetic is, how it works, how AI is used safely and when it will be available.
About Qynetic
What is Qynetic?
Qynetic is a modular, multi-tenant manufacturing intelligence platform. It is designed to sit between machines, metrology, quality systems, tooling, planning, maintenance, enterprise systems and AI, and to turn their data into understanding, prediction and — within validated limits — safe optimisation.
What problem does Qynetic solve?
Manufacturing data is fragmented across machines and systems, so causes that span domains — for example tool wear that causes dimensional drift — are hard to see. Qynetic normalises that data into one model and surfaces the most important issues with evidence, so people do not have to search dashboards.
Is Qynetic an OEE tool, an MES or an AI chatbot?
None of those on its own. OEE, quality, tooling, instructions, planning and maintenance are modules of one platform on a shared manufacturing model, coordinated by Factory Director. It is designed to work alongside MES and ERP systems rather than replace them outright.
Who is Qynetic for?
Discrete manufacturers with demanding quality requirements — for example precision machining and medical device manufacturing — that run machines, measurement and enterprise systems from several vendors.
Platform and modules
What is Factory Director?
Factory Director is the orchestration layer that coordinates specialised agents (quality, APC, tooling, CIM, OEE, planning, maintenance) and presents prioritised, evidence-backed recommendations about the whole factory.
How does Qynetic help improve Cpk?
Qynetic does not improve Cpk by itself. It computes capability and drift from measurement history and correlates them with tool, program, machine and material, so engineers can find and fix the cause faster.
How does Qynetic help improve OEE?
By explaining losses rather than only calculating the percentage: it categorises losses such as faults, setup, tool changes and micro-stops and links them to causes, so the biggest addressable losses are visible.
What is Factory Memory?
Structured manufacturing knowledge linking article, machine, program, tool, process, measurement, quality, intervention and result. It is a knowledge graph with provenance, not a chat history.
Can customers license only some modules?
Yes. Modules are configurable per organisation, and a customer may license only the ones they need. Everything runs on the same platform.
AI and safety
Does AI control the machines?
No. AI may reason and recommend, but it must not directly control physical machinery. Physical adjustments pass through validated algorithms, simulation, a policy guardian and deterministic control, and are verified afterwards.
How does Qynetic APC work?
APC is designed as a closed loop: measure, analyse, calculate, validate, compensate, verify. A validated algorithm computes adjustments, a simulation and a deterministic guardian check them against authorised limits, and anything outside those limits requires human approval.
What happens if the internet connection is lost?
Safety-relevant control is designed to run at the edge, near the machine, with local buffering, so that loss of cloud connectivity cannot cause unsafe behaviour.
Are recommendations explainable?
Yes. Each recommendation carries evidence that links to the underlying data, a confidence value, and the agent that produced it.
Integrations
What systems can Qynetic connect to?
The architecture is vendor- and protocol-neutral. It is designed around connectors for protocols such as MTConnect, OPC UA, MQTT, REST, GraphQL, webhooks, Modbus TCP, databases and file imports, and for systems such as CNC machines, PLCs, CMMs, vision systems, ERP, MES, QMS and PLM. Individual connectors are delivered over time.
What is Qynetic Edge?
A planned service installed inside the factory network that runs connectors close to equipment, buffers data during outages and connects outbound to Qynetic Cloud only.
Does Qynetic keep track of where data came from?
Yes. For imported data the design retains the source, the source object, when it was generated, when it was received, whether it was transformed, and how confident the mapping is.
Security and data
Is customer data isolated between organisations?
Yes, by design. Qynetic is multi-tenant and enforces tenant isolation in the database with Row Level Security rather than relying on application filtering, and the isolation is tested automatically.
Where is data hosted?
The platform runs on managed cloud infrastructure with the database in the EU (Stockholm).
Does Qynetic have security certifications?
Qynetic is in early development and makes no claims about third-party certifications. The security page describes the design principles.
